So Much Sand, So Many Uses

From ancient times, man has been using sand for a wide variety of purposes that range from cooking and glass manufacturing to fracking and construction of buildings. This versatile natural resource is available in such abundant quantities on Earth that it is reported to be the most widely used raw material on our planet after water.
